Floristry students to showcase designs at Harrogate Flower Show

Askham Bryan College’s floristry students across level 3,4 and 5Β are set to showcase their designs at the Harrogate Flower Show on Thursday 24th till Sunday 27th of April 2025.

Known as the biggest flower show in the North East, The Harrogate Flower Show offers colleges to participate in creating beautiful designs. This year Askham Bryan floristry students are to showcase group and individual work at the Floral Art Pavilion to showcase andΒ  celebrate the joy of flowers in a stunning display of creativity.

The floristry students are to take part in the College stand competition and are encouraged to create individual displays as well. The theme for this year is β€˜Swords and Sorcery: Fantasy Heroes’ and the college has decided to chose to create a display around the film ‘How to train your dragon’.

Sue Lee, Floristry Course Manager said: “The show has been an integral part of our academic calendar for floristry students for several years – providing students, with the opportunity to work on a large-scale collaborative piece, within a competitive industry environment, at a professional level and to take part in individual competitions. Each year the team produces a show stopping display and I’m delighted with the originality and creativity of their design. I am incredibly proud of the professionalism, dedication demonstrated each year, winning an award is a testament to their hard work and creativity.”
