University Centre Askham Bryan celebrates successful NSS results
25th July 2022The latest numbers perform above the national average for Higher Education Institutions
University Centre Askham Bryan (UCAB) has received its latest results from the National Student Survey (NSS). The UCAB Team is pleased to report that responses from their students on their programmes ranked above the national average benchmarks for Higher Education Institutions. Highlights include exceptional staff support for students, 100 percent satisfaction in the BSc Animal Science and Management programme, over 91 percent for staff delivery making subject areas interesting, and above the sector average for representation of student’s voice, teaching on the course, assessment and feedback, academic support, learning resources, and outstanding learning community.

Learning Community 7.81% ABOVE SECTOR AVERAGE
Student Voice 13.9% ABOVE SECTOR AVERAGE
Learning Resources 0.23% ABOVE SECTOR AVERAGE

This graduating cohort has experienced unprecedented challenges during the duration of their degree programmes yet their efforts were unwavering. It is a well-earned position that places us ahead in the land-based education sector.”
University Centre Askham Bryan (UCAB) is the higher education arm of the College. A range of degree programmes centred on land-based and specialist subjects (undergraduate and postgraduate) are delivered at the Askham Bryan College York campus. The College received Higher Education Funding Council of England (HEFCE) status in July 2019 and Foundation Degree Awarding Powers (FDAP) in February 2022. Askham Bryan College is the only land-based college nationally to have its own degree-awarding powers.
