Schedule for the day
The campus will be open from 9.30am until 2.30pm. The time is yours to discover our specialist facilities and what we have to offer from full time further education, apprenticeships through to higher education degree study.
The following will help with making the most of your visit.
What are your study options and where do you need to go?
Some of our curriculum areas will offer different study opportunities. All of our subject areas will offer further education courses (post 16), some may have apprenticeship pathways or higher education degree options. We have separated and located these three main options as follows:
1. Further Education – Subject talks in departments across campus for full time courses from entry level to level 3 inclusive
2. Apprenticeships – Internet Bar for the option where are (or due to be) employed by an employer and the study element is with us
3. Higher Education – Committee Room for programmes at our University Centre for Foundation or BSc degree level
Sign-in:
Please arrive at main Reception (number 1 on the map) to sign-in from 9.30am.
Refreshments are available to purchase in the canteen throughout the event, situated in the centre of the main building (number 2 on the map).
Welcome talk:
A general welcome and overview of the college will be available in the Conference Centre (number 3 on the map) running at 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm and 1.00pm.
Curriculum areas and talks:
Please feel free to make your way to the departments for the subject areas of interest in order to attend the presentations (pre-booked by you) at either 10.30am, 11.30am or 12.30pm. There will also be an opportunity to view the facilities during these time-slots. Please refer to the map for further details.
Apprenticeships:
If you are looking to pursue an apprenticeship option, our Apprenticeship Team are located in the Internet Bar within the Main Building (number 2 on the map), just before entering the canteen.

Transport, Accommodation and Student Experience:
A video presentation, advice and accommodation tours are available throughout the morning from the Lecture Theatre (number 11 on the map). The Student Experience Team will be available in the Student Bar, next to the lecture theatre, to advise on student life and run accommodation tours
Learning Resource Centre and Digital Skills Academy:
Take a look inside our award-winning Digital Skills Academy (number 16 on the map) to find out more about how virtual reality is helping to provide innovative learning across our curriculum.
University Centre Askham Bryan (UCAB)
If you are interested in pursuing a degree or finding out about your progression opportunities after college, our Higher Education Team are running talks and tours at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm.
These talks are situated in the Committee Room, located on the front corridor of the main building. (number 2 on the map).Β Just ask a member of staff for direction if you are unsure.

Important Messages
- Toilets are located in the Main Building, Conference Centre or in the Animal Management department.
- The canteen will close at 2:00pm, and the open event will close at 2:30pm.
- Whilst moving around buildings, we ask that you stay with staff for any bespoke tours.
