Wellbeing and Safeguarding
There may be occasions during your time at College when you experience problems, feel under pressure, find it hard to cope or you just want to talk to someone. The Wellbeing Co-ordinators are there to listen to ALL your problems, no matter how big or small they may seem to you, for instance:. The Student Finance Officer can provide students with information, advice and guidance on grants, bursaries and student loans and any other financial issues. Childcare Services
If you incur the cost of childcare whilst you are studying, it may be the case that you are eligible for some financial support towards those costs. Careers Advice and Guidance
Through Student Services we can provide students, both FE and HE, with Careers Advice and Guidance. Our advisers are able to provide advice and support to help prepare students for their next step whether it is further training, higher education, employment or self-employment. Student Careers Support -
Employability
Students will be required to undertake a structured external work placement with an external employer. The placement must be occupationally specific and focussed on developing the skills required in a profession or trade. You will be linked with a Work Placement Co-ordinator that can be contacted to discuss any queries. Clubs and Societies
The student experience is a big part of College life and the more you get involved the better off you’ll be. Joining sporting activities and societies is a great way to enhance your skills, they are ideal for building your CV and above all to help you meet new people and grow in confidence. For more information about activities that are available, talk to your Residential team and the Student Union.
